When Meshal and Ahmad suggested to present to Dr. Bastaki the same presentation that I gave in ISNR 2012, he was impressed and suggested to pursue the project and get funded by ICTFund. 

Adding Dr. Bastaki as an active contributor gives the project higher visibility and credit. Now as the president at The University of Dubai, there are opportunities to give short seminars on Digital Immunity and how the Smart Vaccine vaccinates the critical system in smart cities.

He was a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Department at the UAE University and then he became the CEO of the ICTFund organization.

In 2013 Dr. Bastaki accepted the position of the president of the University of Dubai.

Dr. Bastaki is recipient of many awards for his accomplishment:

 3. Tens of appreciation and achievement awards
 4. Recepient of the United Arab Emirates Highest Award: Received the award in science category in 2009 Emirates Awards for Science, Arts and Literature.
 5. In 2014, I received the Middle East “ICT and Knowledge Development CEO Excellence Award”.

Dr. Bastaki earned his doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the University of California in Irvine in 1988.  His BS and MS in Electrical Engineering were awarded from the University of California San Diego.
